Moving any firm that has been in the same space for 35 years was never going to be easy. However in this case Clemenger’s new location was a heritage listed wharf. The complex statutory approval process, in conjunction with a base building upgrade, tested the available timeframe, plus the ingenuity of the team.
Rather than focus on the design of the fitout, we encouraged the design team to allow the building to do the “heavy lifting” in terms of impact. The Bates Smart solution which is very monochromatic works with the iconic location and beautiful building to make the workplace and location part of the same striking story.
This was the eighth project Spitfire Control has undertaken for the Omnicom Media Group companies.
